Dorothy was transported from a sepia-toned Kansas to the mystical Oz via tornado; however, most of us would not benefit from such a fate. Tornadoes are a threat to the safety of our homes, our businesses, and our cities. With today’s world of Big Data, tornadoes can also damage our society’s information. A 2012 report indicated that losses of up to $140,000/facility were incurred at downtown data centers impacted by tornado damage.
